Welcome to my World...

Hi it's me! This is my first official post. I've wanted to create this blog for years, now, but didn't actually know it. This all started out as an idea to help the poor, sweet, unsuspecting souls who enter new arenas of life and get hit upside the head with the learning curve. I was one of them. I mentioned to a few people that I wanted to gather info, compare notes and share with the girls who were coming behind me in these areas, so that they could get a leg up – learn from what we found out the hard way. I thought I'd do a coffee and dessert night at my place where I could share these things. Then it evolved to Oooooh- I'll write a pamphlet- that'll be awesome!! A few years after that idea came and went, I was telling a friend about what I wanted to do. She confidently told me, “It sounds like a blog.

Now, if you know me, you're probably laughing because I have got to be the most technologically regressed person in my group of friends. It sounded enticing, exciting, challenging and just short of overwhelming; I knew it would take some things I didn’t think I had: discipline to write regularly and time. At the time my friend opened my eyes to the idea of blogging, I was pregnant with my baby boy, Lincoln, and my daughter, Mariah, had just turned one. Though it seemed like a lot to take on, it immediately had my heart! I knew that this had been tugging on my heart for years and I hadn’t yet made a move. Going through another What Just Happened and a What’s about to Happen? moment at the time made me all the more present to the need and the impact that it could have.

So, here I am. A technologically reticent girl, busting through the airwaves…err, um…internet waves…are there waves? I don’t pretend to have a lot of wisdom in the areas I’ll be writing about. But I do have friends with wisdom, a desire to excel in the areas of life that God puts me into, a sense of humor and a heart to help anyone who desires to take the time to read a little something now and then. So, if you know anyone who is new in the areas of marriage or mommyhood, or anyone who could use a laugh remembering what they went through by hearing about my escapades, please feel free to pass this on.

More to come…
